About Me

I am grad student in experimental particle physics at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, working on the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) near Geneva, Switzerland.

Modern particle physics experiments tend to involve large international collaborations, so the ability to collaborate and work remotely is a necessity. Even so, occasional face-to-face contact with colleagues and some first-hand knowledge of the experiment certainly help. As such, I'm based in Madison most of the time, but I spend about one month every year on-site in Geneva.
