Muon Slides 29-August-2001
- I have a simple module for doing low-level IMU detector studies
in MuonMods called ImuHistos. It is root-based. I have had a complaint
about that urging me to translate it into a more portable histogramming
scheme, but since I do not envision this becoming part of a production
package I am not in a hurry to 'fix' it. The talk-to allows you to
create ntuples. The ntuples are raw hits in the bmu, bsu, and tsu; and
also for 4-hit tracks found using Handler's stub finder and for
trigger matches. The 4-hit stub finder is not complete, and thus only about
50% efficient.
- We found that paddle cards had been plugged into the wrong TDCs on
the East side. This is rather distressing on several grounds: first
that we didn't spot it immediately, which says our procedures and tools
aren't functioning smoothly. YMon is now my top priority.
or rather it was until I got the code working today (see below)
Secondly
people who are swapping TDC's aren't reading the labels!
- I've been working on digitization, and am clearly missing something
since the overall muon digitizer's appendtoEvent is never being called.
- YMON plots that are easier to read, labeled, and better organized
work, and the code has been given to the Consumer librarian. Instead of
going from 0 to 288 for the stack number, the plots now go from -36 to 180,
thus eliminating that confusing gap where we have no chambers. Occupancy
plots use log scales.
