Muon Slides 31-October-2001
- I have committed changes to imu, MuonGeometry, and MuonSim
to implement the IMU geometry and digitization. Along the way
I ran across more oddities than I'd have believed possible, including
one bug that made my job take a permanent nap. No crash, no infinite
loop, just a nap. The BMU stack hierarchy is completely flattened.
- Next on the list is working the new MuonxxHit objects into the
simulation, and then making the stub-finding work with the new objects.
Clearing up the overlap with the CMX geometry will come a little later.
Because of the way GEANT goes from volume to volume, and because tracks
hit the CMX containment volume first, the overlap will not matter. Tracks
will go from volume to volume within the CMX, and only encounter the
IMU containment volume on exiting the CMX's.
- Bob Handler's time shifts and mine agree pretty well.
Bob's look somewhat better.
