Photos from PASI2006
(thanks to
Tatiana Rodriguez, Nausheen Shah,
and other
student participants for the photos)
Lecture Sessions were held the first eight working days -
Marcela Carena of Fermilab is shown giving one of three lectures she presented on
"The Standard Electoweak Theory", including Electroweak Symmetry Breaking.

We ended each day's lectures with a lively discussion
session -
Leon Lederman, a Nobel Laureate and former Director of Fermilab,
is shown here in a discussion session with the students.

The second eight working days were joint sessions with
SILAFAE -
Seminars were given by physicists from a number of different countries
on the results of major experiments as well as theoretical research.

The poster session gave students a chance to show their
own work -

Nausheen Shah, University of Chicago - USA
"Gravitons and Dark Matter in Universal Extra Dimensions"

Helena Laura and Mariana Vargas, FC-UNAM - Mexico
(in discussion with Augusto Garcia, CINVESTAV)
"First Measurements with the Teotihuacan position sensitive multwire chambers"

Jose Zurita, University of Buenos Aires - Argentina
"The last of the seven-parton tree level helicity amplitudes"

Emerson Luna, Institute of Physics, State University of Sao Paulo - Brazil
(explaining his poster to Tatiana Rodriguez)
"Large Rapidity Gaps in pp and ppbar collisions at LHC"

Jose Luis Bazo, Fermilab - USA and Pontifica University of Lima - Peru
"MINERnA's Simulation Validation"

Carlos Perez, Pontifica University of Lima - Peru (on the left)
"Simulation of V0A Detector for ALICE"
Adrian Perez, University of Maryland - USA (on the right)
"Measurement of Parity Non-conservation with Alkali's:the Anapole Moment.
Testing the Standard Model with atomic physics"
The students also found time to enjoy each other's
company in informal get togethers -
