LodgingAccommodation has been reserved at the Barnard Dormitory on the UW-Madison Campus. Everyone will be assigned to a single (individual) room. Accommodation is beginning Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at noon and will be available until noon on Friday, June 8, 2007. If you will arrive before or are staying beyond these dates, please contact the secretariat to make other arrangements if you have not done so already. Lodging check in: is at the Barnard Front Desk. The address of Barnard Hall is 970 University Avenue, Madison, Wisconsin 53706. Telephone: 608-890-1645. Restrooms: Sleeping rooms do not have private bathrooms, but a single gender bath facility is conveniently located on each floor. These shared facilities do include private shower and restroom stalls. Men and women will be assigned to separate floors. Housekeeping: The dormitory will provide daily room service to refresh towels, make beds, and empty trash. Computing: All dorm rooms have Internet connections using DHCP. You will need to bring an Ethernet cable. Desk Services: Barnard Hall is staffed with 24-hour desk service on the first floor. Alarm clocks, irons and ironing boards are available for check-out on a first-come, first-served basis. Ethernet cables, television cables, laundry soap, phone cards, stamps and other supplies are available for sale at the desk. Ice machines are located near the hall desk area. Meals: your registration fee covers all meals (10B-9L-10D). Meals with high quality selection will be served cafeteria style beginning with dinner on May 29 continuing through breakfast on June 8 in the Barnard Hall Buffet Room. Breakfast is: 7:45 AM; Lunch is 12:00 PM; and Dinner is 6:00 PM. Guests: If you will be bringing a guest with you, please contact the secretariat IMMEDIATELY. Your registration fee does NOT cover guest occupancy. Smoking: is not allowed in any University Facility. You must go outside to smoke. |
