Lectures: 9:55 MWF in 2241 Chamberlin Hall.
You may be called upon to answer questions in lecture and to assist with demonstrations.

Homework: Assigned each Wednesday, due in class the following Wednesday.
Graded HW returned in discussion section.

Exams: Three in-class hour exams, one comprehensive final exam.
Lowest in-class exam score will be dropped. (Final exam score NOT dropped).
Hour Exam #1: Wed. Sep. 27th
Hour Exam #2: Wed. Oct. 25th
Hour Exam #3: Wed. Nov. 29th
Final Exam: Thur. Dec 21st, 2:45 PM - Location TBA

Essay: A typed essay on one of several topics related to the course is required as described here.
Fri. Nov. 3rd: essay topic and descriptive paragraph due in class.
Fri. Nov. 17th: essay outline and reference to published article due in class.
Fir. Dec. 8th: completed essay is due in class.

Discussion Sections: Weekly discussion sections are on Mondays and Tuesdays. They are useful for help on lecture topics, HW, exam preparation, and the course essay.

Grading:       
Homework and discussion section quizzes contribute 15%
Paper contributes 15%
Each of two exams not dropped contributes 20%
Comprehensive final exam contributes 30%
