UWMadisonCMS Open Science Grid Site Policy Page#
Processing Policies#
- All access to US-CMS processing resources for other OSG VOs is provided on an opportunistic basis unless otherwise arranged.
- Additional non-US-CMS resources (GLOW, CHTC, and Computer Science Condor pool) are available for opportunistic use by all OSG VOs.
- When using opportunistic resources, immediate preemption of jobs may happen when there are higher priority jobs.
- US-CMS requests that VOs submit via Condor-G with the Grid Monitor enabled, because this reduces load on the CE.
Storage Policies#
- Access to an SRM SE is provided to all OSG VOs
- No tape backup is provided. All data will be stored in the site’s storage cluster.
- Until resource reservations are available in SRM interface, under normal operating conditions CMS will remove all files older than 30 days
- If the file system fills, CMS will attempt to contact the largest users through the iGOC and provide 4 hours of warning before deleting files
